Whenever I try to copy the newly created settings.bin file to the OFA REMOTE drive, I receive the error message "Invalid MS-DOS Function". What can I do?
This error indicates there is a problem writing the new file onto the One For All. Please try connecting the remote control to a different USB slot, preferably no USB-hub, or on a different computer to better determine the source of the issue. Also ensure the settings.bin file is labeled correctly, and not for example settings(1).bin or of another filetype. In some cases, removing any previously downloaded settings.bin files also resolves the issue.
While downloading the file directly to the OFA REMOTE drive can work, in some cases, it is advised to download it to your computer first and then copy it over to the OFA REMOTE drive. Read more

Yes, it is possible, as long as the remote supports 2 or more devices.
Another device mode will have to be changed into the required device mode.

Our remote controls always send out the standard duration of a signal, which enables most Macros.

Yes you can. Using www.simpleset.com press the Restore Remote button, and select the remote you have.You will then be asked to download a new settings.bin file and copy and replace it on your remote. Then, the Simple 3will be restored to the state you bought it in.Read more
Using SimpleSet.com, why are there multiple settings files in my download folder?
Some browsers will rename files when they download another file with the same name by adding a number such as  at the end of the file name.Read more
However, the Simple 3 will only accept a file called settings.bin, which in this case is the oldest version.
To be sure you have the latest version, please delete all files called settings.bin and settings[x].bin from your downloads folder and try downloading from the website again.
